Gauntlet IV is an action-packed game that features four modes of gameplay. Released for the Sega Genesis and Mega Drive Home Systems, the “IV” in the game’s title does not mean it’s the fourth in the series, rather it means that there are four game modes to play on. The game modes are: Arcade Mode – similar to the original arcade game, Battle Mode – allows players to compete for the high score, Quest Mode – an all new gameplay with new elements not found in the arcade mode such as level-up system, weapon, and armor upgrades, and more, and finally the Record Mode that is similar to Arcade mode but records your every floor performance.
